My Review:

The audio was sent to me from Esther Bochner from Macmillan Audio, thank you for this great treat.  This book was very intriguing it’s the story of Cinder a second class citizen living with very self absorbed Step-mother, and 2 step sisters.  They rely on Cinder for income when her father died and left them without money.

A plague is raging through New Beijing killing many people.  Cinder finds herself being an oddity to the situation.  She can’t recall her life prior to New Beijing other than to know she is from Europe.  Her stepfather was killed by the plague but her body seems to adapt to it.  She also meets the Prince Kai while working in the market when he needs a droid fixed and is told about her.  Cinder does her best to keep her cyborg information private from him.

As like Cinderella she has a evil step-mother,  who sends Cinder off to be tested for the plague.  Was quite a great story to hear.  I enjoyed learning about Cinder and New Beijing. Cinder finds the Prince Kai finding her in different situations and making an effort to try to get her to go to the ball with him.

The Luna Queen wants all Luna’s punished and destroyed over the inability to control what they see, her glamours don’t work on them, and decides Cinder needs to be tried as a Lunar criminal.

What a great book with adventure, romance, loyalty.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
