Riley’s finding that the afterlife can be a lonely place when all you do is focus on work. So she goes to the place where dreams happen, hoping to find a way to contact her sister, Ever. She meets the director, who tells her about the two ways to send dreams. As a Dream Jumper, a person can jump into a dreamer’s dream, share a message, and participate. As a Dreamweaver, an entire dream can be created in a studio and sent to the dreamer. But Dreamweaving was outlawed decades ago, and the studio was boarded up. Thinking it’s her only way to reach out to her sister, Riley goes in search of the old studio. There she finds a ghost boy, who’s been creating and sending nightmares to people for years. In order to stop him and reach out to Ever, Riley is going to have to confront and overcome her own fears.

My Review:

After saving all those souls in the previous book Riley is beyond happy when her glow gets stronger.  The council puts her and Bodhi on vacation to take a break from everything.  Riley finds she has no friends or boyfriend being the age of 12 dying to age up.  Bodhi told her in the Here and Now people do grow up, and Riley is trying everything in her power to age up and become a teen.  She finds out about Dreamland where people dream jump into people’s dreams to talk to someone or send a message.  Riley assumes if she can make it to Ever she might learn somethings she wants to know.

Little does Riley know she would first have to tangle with a very lost spirit, who’s unsavable at the current time many have tried and failed and keep trying.  Then Ever and Riley meet up in the Dreamland and Riley realizes that Ever’s dreams still haunt her from the accident.  She tries to help Ever with symbols, and Ever tries to give teenage advice to Riley.

Everyone Riley talks to her help her figure out the puzzle all with a piece to add.  Then Bodhi informs her they are off to Italy to Soul crossing again.  I love this series as Riley shows us what is like to want to be a teen and succeed at things even though she is only 12.
