Domestic diva Sophie Winston is getting into the Halloween spirit- her decorations for a community haunted house are so good, it’s scary. Not to be outdone, rival domestic diva Natasha is throwing a spooktacular Halloween party at her house. But when Sophie arrives, she discovers one of Natasha’s guests dead in a Halloween display, and a pale, fanged partygoer fleeing the scene.
Could the killer be a real vampire-the same one rumored to have lived in Sophie’s haunted house back when it was a boardinghouse? Good thing a domestic diva never runs out of garlic.
We head back to Old Town where Diva’s are in full force this time it’s all about Halloween. Sophie is decorating a haunted house for people to tour through while Natasha is hard at work on a Halloween party. Sophie is finding that people are very much buying into vampires and Viktor Luca and wondering where he is now, the illusive vampires for back in the day as the story goes.
In short order Sophie, Jen and Vegas stumble upon a murder, who was done at the hands of someone doning a vampire outfit. Add to that a bombing in Mars and Natasha’s house things in the cozy neighborhood are turned upside down.
Sophie also is dealing with romance triangles with Wolf the detective, Kenner another detective and now her ex-husband seems to be falling for her again, what is a diva to do. Personally I think it could be interesting for her to re-hook up with Mars. Definitely wish they had done more with that, I for one am not even sure what the romance between the two meant in the book. I will definitely be on the lookout for the next book in this great series.
